We refuse to compromise on quality
Our windows are made from British Made, high quality MarinespecTM components, with up to 25 years anti corrosion. They are built specifically for the more exposed areas of corrosion, such as coastal environments to give you worry free performance beyond your guarantee. We believe spending more on components is worth every penny, and sets us apart from our competitors.
State of the art fabrication for best quality
We have invested millions of pounds into one of the most state of the art manufacturing facilities in the UK. This enables us to provide you with consistently high quality products at exceptionally good prices. Our loyal factory workers are well trained and take pride in their work, they really care about quality. Our machines are maintained according to a rigorous servicing regime to keep them in top condition.
Superior energy efficiency
Our ‘A’ rated energy efficient and triple glazed windows are tested by the BFRC, which will save you money on your heating bills. By law your windows and doors have to meet strict thermal performance regulations but you can be rest assured that our products exceed current requirements.
Energy saving is incredibly important and so is keeping your fuel bills down. We are continuously looking for ways to make our homes energy efficient and one way is to choose new PVCu windows and doors. Not only will they help to keep your home warmer, they will reduce your energy loss.
Don’t just take our word for it!
Our suppliers conform to strictly controlled and independently monitored Quality Management Systems such as ISO 9001, to ensure that everything is done correctly and according to best practise.
Our windows are tested independently by British Standards for security, weather tightness and strength performance. This means that periodically, we have to send them to independent test houses, in order to be tested to destruction.
These are just some of the many standards the products in our vast range conform to. Needless to say we take the quality of our products very seriously indeed.

Can you put a proper roof on a conservatory?
The simple answer is yes! It is perfectly possible to put a “proper” roof on your conservatory; at Britannia we offer tiled roofs, as they are lightweight and can in a lot of cases be made to match the tiles of your house to make it blend in. There are many reasons you might want to do this; tiled roofs are more durable and help turn your conservatory into a space you can use all year round. This is because the roof stops the heat escaping in winter, and stops too much sun heating up the room in summer. If you’re not sure whether a tiled roof conservatory is right for you, contact us to find out more and talk to one of our experts
Does a tiled roof make a conservatory more energy efficient?
A tiled roof is the best way to make your conservatory as energy efficient as possible. The roof will be insulated, and with the tiles on top, very little heat will escape, making a tiled roof conservatory a great choice for when you want to be able to cosy up in it in the winter. With Britannia, we make sure all our windows and doors are as thermally efficient as possible, so a tiled roof conservatory with double-glazed windows and doors should stay warm all winter long. In the summer, it will also make sure the conservatory is cooler, so you can enjoy a warm, shaded area while still feeling close to the garden.
What does the ceiling look like with a tiled conservatory roof?
From the inside the ceiling will look just like a normal ceiling! It will be a vaulted, plastered ceiling, but if you’d prefer you can choose to install roof lights to increase the amount of light that comes into the room. Behind the ceiling we will fit high quality insulating material that will help keep the warmth in your tiled roof conservatory, whatever the weather. Choosing a tiled roof conservatory will give you a sleek look from the outside, and an elegant pitched ceiling on the inside. Chat to one of our sales consultants to find out more.
Are tiled roof conservatories dark?
Tiled roof conservatories will be darker than a conservatory with a glass roof, of course, but that’s not to say that it will be a dark room. With glazed walls, the conservatory will bring in sunlight all day long, and you’ll get direct sun in the morning and evenings, depending on where your conservatory is situated. If you are worried that a tiled roof conservatory will be very dark but you want a thermally efficient roof, then you can install roof lights so that you can control the amount of sunlight that comes into your conservatory.
