We refuse to compromise on quality
Our windows are made from British Made, high quality MarinespecTM components, with up to 25 years anti corrosion. They are built specifically for the more exposed areas of corrosion, such as coastal environments to give you worry free performance beyond your guarantee. We believe spending more on components is worth every penny, and sets us apart from our competitors.
State of the art fabrication for best quality
We have invested millions of pounds into one of the most state of the art manufacturing facilities in the UK. This enables us to provide you with consistently high quality products at exceptionally good prices. Our loyal factory workers are well trained and take pride in their work, they really care about quality. Our machines are maintained according to a rigorous servicing regime to keep them in top condition.
Superior energy efficiency
Our ‘A’ rated energy efficient and triple glazed windows are tested by the BFRC, which will save you money on your heating bills. By law your windows and doors have to meet strict thermal performance regulations but you can be rest assured that our products exceed current requirements.
Energy saving is incredibly important and so is keeping your fuel bills down. We are continuously looking for ways to make our homes energy efficient and one way is to choose new PVCu windows and doors. Not only will they help to keep your home warmer, they will reduce your energy loss.
Don’t just take our word for it!
Our suppliers conform to strictly controlled and independently monitored Quality Management Systems such as ISO 9001, to ensure that everything is done correctly and according to best practise.
Our windows are tested independently by British Standards for security, weather tightness and strength performance. This means that periodically, we have to send them to independent test houses, in order to be tested to destruction.
These are just some of the many standards the products in our vast range conform to. Needless to say we take the quality of our products very seriously indeed.

What do Georgian Windows look like?
Georgian windows are an iconic window style that you’ll recognise across homes in Britain. The characteristic look of a Georgian window is where each pane of glass is divided into six or more sections with glazing bars. This form of decorated glass is a classy and elegant way to add some interest to your windows without adding coloured or textured glass.
At Britannia we give you the freedom to decide on how to separate the glass. We can provide the traditional raised glazing bars, or you can choose to install the bars inside the glazing, making the window easier to clean. Contact us to find out more about Georgian windows for your home.
What grid designs are available?
We manufacture our windows ourselves, so we pride ourselves on being able to offer an array of different grid styles so that you can have a window, door or conservatory that reflects your personality. From the classic square or diamond grid, to intricate grids that encompass a variety of shapes, you just need to contact us to talk about how we can make your decorative glass dream a reality.
We can also help you decide whether you want to embellish your grid design with other decorative glass options like coloured or textured glass, without sacrificing on security or quality.
Is decorated glass hard to clean?
This depends on the type of decorated glass you choose. If you want a grid design with raised glazing panels, then dust may collect on these panels and you’ll have to wipe them down. If you’re looking for a more practical, easy-clean window with the same design, we can install internal Georgian bars, giving you the look of divided panels while still being able to clean with a quick wipe.
Bevelled and coloured glass requires the same maintenance as any other glass; just a quick spray of window cleaner and then wiping down with a clean cloth.
Can I design my own decorative glass?
As we create our windows in our state of the art factory near Bristol, we have almost unlimited potential with what we can manufacture for you. If you have a specific design that you would love to see on your front door, then you just need to contact us and talk to one of our experts, who will do their best to make your decorative glass design a reality.
Have a look at our brochure to see the types of coloured and textured glass that we offer to give yourself some inspiration; it’s your home and we want to make it as individual as you are.
What is bevelled glass?
Bevelled glass is a traditional way to add a decorative element to your window. It refers to a pane of glass that has had its edges cut at a specific angle that goes around the frame. This cut edge can either be left textured or polished to be clear, and allows light into your home from different angles, sometimes refracting the light and splitting it into the colours of the rainbow.
Bevelled glass is a popular option for front doors, as they add a decorative element without reducing any of the light coming in from the window. Bevelling can also be used in conjunction with any of our other decorative glass options for a more intricate design.
Where should I install decorative glass?
Where you install decorative glass depends on the purpose you want it to serve. If you are looking to reduce visibility into your home from the outside, then installing textured or coloured glass on a bathroom window or a front door would do the trick. If you want to add a design piece to your home, then getting a quirky design for an interior window will give your home some added style and colour!
Decorative glass can be used in many ways to add a bit of your personality to your home, and our experts are here to help you decide on the various designs we provide and what would work best for your home.
