We refuse to compromise on quality

Our windows are made from British Made, high quality MarinespecTM components, with up to 25 years anti corrosion. They are built specifically for the more exposed areas of corrosion, such as coastal environments to give you worry free performance beyond your guarantee.  We believe spending more on components is worth every penny, and sets us apart from our competitors.

State of the art fabrication for best quality

We have invested millions of pounds into one of the most state of the art manufacturing facilities in the UK.  This enables us to provide you with consistently high quality products at exceptionally good prices. Our loyal factory workers are well trained and take pride in their work, they really care about quality.  Our machines are maintained according to a rigorous servicing regime to keep them in top condition.

Superior energy efficiency

Our ‘A’ rated energy efficient and triple glazed windows are tested by the BFRC, which will save you money on your heating bills. By law your windows and doors have to meet strict thermal performance regulations but you can be rest assured that our products exceed current requirements.

Energy saving is incredibly important and so is keeping your fuel bills down. We are continuously looking for ways to make our homes energy efficient and one way is to choose new PVCu windows and doors. Not only will they help to keep your home warmer, they will reduce your energy loss.

Don’t just take our word for it!

Our suppliers conform to strictly controlled and independently monitored Quality Management Systems such as ISO 9001, to ensure that everything is done correctly and according to best practise.

Our windows are tested independently by British Standards for security, weather tightness and strength performance. This means that periodically, we have to send them to independent test houses, in order to be tested to destruction.

These are just some of the many standards the products in our vast range conform to. Needless to say we take the quality of our products very seriously indeed.

Are composite doors good?

Composite doors are a worthwhile investment as they offer security, thermal efficiency and they can be designed to your personal taste.

As composite doors are created in high-heat, high-pressure environments, this makes them durable and weather resistant. This is important as it makes composite doors resistant from naturally occurring damage (such as heavy rains and winds), and their strength makes them a lot harder to break down in comparison to other door options.

Composite doors have also proven to be more energy efficient than uPVC doors, which helps to keep energy bills down within your home. If you want to add a personal touch to your home, composite doors come in a variety of textures, colours and designs.

How long should a composite door last?

The strongest composite doors can last decades. We use 100% CFC-free polyurethane foam in our composite doors, which is completely water resistant and is very thermally resistant. Timber core composite doors have a tendency to bow if water gets through to the inner core, and we prefer to use materials that will last as long as possible.

Composite doors can last a lifetime if you take the time to do some simple maintenance; oiling hinges and wiping your door down to remove dirt is an easy way to look after your door.

Are composite doors cheaper than uPVC?

As uPVC doors are thinner, require fewer materials and have a less complicated production process, they can cost a little less than composite doors. They do have more glazing options than our composite doors as well; you can install decorative glass or high-performance glass so your hallway isn’t too dark.
Composite doors are often more energy efficient than uPVC doors: composite doors come with brushes along the floor, preventing warm air from escaping and stopping any outside draughts from creeping in. Over time, this can help you save on your energy bills.

What does a composite door mean?

A composite door is built from a mixture of a variety of materials – in other words, it’s a composite of different materials. Because it isn’t made from one sole material, it is often seen as a stronger and more durable choice.

Some composite doors are constructed with a timber core, but we use 100% CFC-free foam in ours, as we’ve found that timber-core composite doors can warp and bow after being exposed to water or extreme temperatures. Composite doors are designed for strength and durability, and can also have weather protected hinges and high-tech security locks for maximum safety.

What is the best material for a front door?

Wooden doors – coming in a variety of finishes, wooden doors add a timeless look to any home and they are easily adaptable to all shapes and sizes of doorways. However, they can be more vulnerable to weather damage than other doors, requiring more maintenance to keep up its appearance
Composite doors – made from a mixture of materials that are fused together, these doors are safe and durable. We use a special CFC-free foam in our composite doors that are great at insulation your home and keeping your energy bills low.
PVCu doors – made from highly resistant material, PVCu doors are a popular choice for front doors as they are extremely cost-effective and you can easily choose a design that complements your home.

What should I look for when buying a front door?

When buying a front door, you’ll need to work out what factors you want to prioritise: if you’re after a door with an attractive appearance, then wooden doors offer a timeless and classic look, whilst composite doors and PVCu doors come in a huge variety of colours and designs.

Other good things to consider when buying a front door are security, thermal insulation and durability, so have a look at our brochure or contact us so we can help you find the right front door for your home.
