Features and benefits

Guarantees you can depend on.

We have built up a great reputation over years of delivering a first class service and excellent products, all from our local, no nonsense all-about-you company.

From characteristic country cottages to contemporary town houses, we’re confident that our products will offer a style and finish to truly transform your home. Through constant innovation the quality, durability and security of our products is genuinely second to none. As a local company we are proud to offer British Standards BS7412/PAS24 for enhanced security.

We refuse to compromise on quality

Our windows are made from British Made, high quality MarinespecTM components, with up to 25 years anti corrosion. They are built specifically for the more exposed areas of corrosion, such as coastal environments to give you worry free performance beyond your guarantee.  We believe spending more on components is worth every penny, and sets us apart from our competitors.

State of the art fabrication for best quality

We have invested millions of pounds into one of the most state of the art manufacturing facilities in the UK.  This enables us to provide you with consistently high quality products at exceptionally good prices. Our loyal factory workers are well trained and take pride in their work, they really care about quality.  Our machines are maintained according to a rigorous servicing regime to keep them in top condition.

Superior energy efficiency

Our ‘A’ rated energy efficient and triple glazed windows are tested by the BFRC, which will save you money on your heating bills. By law your windows and doors have to meet strict thermal performance regulations but you can be rest assured that our products exceed current requirements.

Energy saving is incredibly important and so is keeping your fuel bills down. We are continuously looking for ways to make our homes energy efficient and one way is to choose new PVCu windows and doors. Not only will they help to keep your home warmer, they will reduce your energy loss.

Don’t just take our word for it!

Our suppliers conform to strictly controlled and independently monitored Quality Management Systems such as ISO 9001, to ensure that everything is done correctly and according to best practise.

Our windows are tested independently by British Standards for security, weather tightness and strength performance. This means that periodically, we have to send them to independent test houses, in order to be tested to destruction.

These are just some of the many standards the products in our vast range conform to. Needless to say we take the quality of our products very seriously indeed.

Do bifold doors need a bottom track?

When you choose to have bi-fold doors you can decide whether you want to have a bottom track installed or not. Having a bottom track can make the door more stable when you’re opening and closing it, but if you don’t want to cut into your floor then you can have top-hung bifold doors instead. However, as the top track will have to hold the full weight of the bifold door, it will have to be supported by a strong lintel. Unless you particularly don’t want to have a bottom track, we would normally recommend it as it will give your bifolding doors more stability and a smoother operating motion.

How long does it take to install bifold doors?

Once the bifold doors are made and brought into the property, they can be easily installed in one day by our expert engineers. However, you will first have to decide on what kind of bifold doors you want and then we will make them to your specifications in our state of the art factory, which can take around six weeks. Our manufacturers will check and test your bifold doors to make sure they match your requirements exactly and they function perfectly before they leave the factory.

How do bifold doors work?

Bifold doors are made up of multiple glass doors that, when closed, make up a large glass wall. When you open them, the leaves separate, and following the tracks they are installed on, fold back on themselves in a concertina style. This means that once the doors are fully open, you have the entire space open to the garden or outdoor space. The bifolding doors stack neatly along out of your way so there are no obstructions. If you want to know more about how bifold doors work and even try out one for yourself, find your nearest showroom and talk to one of our experts.

Are bifold doors better for large or small spaces?

Bifold doors can work equally well in both large and small spaces. For large spaces, they can completely open up your home to your garden, creating exceptional ventilation and natural light in your home. One of the advantages of bifold doors is that when they are completely open, the doors stack neatly, meaning that they are very practical for smaller spaces, as you don’t need to factor in extra space to open the door as you would with an inward-opening traditional door. Bi-fold doors are also good for small spaces in comparison to sliding patio doors as they open all the way, rather than leaving one glass panel that cannot be opened.

Do the doors stack inside or outside the frame?

You can decide whether you want the bifolds to stack inside your home or outside, and it is entirely down to personal preference. If you have plant pots and garden furniture that would obstruct your panels if they stacked outside, then choosing inside stacking doors is a good idea, especially if you have a larger indoor space. For those with limited space inside, it’s normally a better option to go with outside stacking; this way you won’t have to keep a space clear for the doors to move in.
